“Send her back,” chanted a crowd in Pennsylvania Tuesday night.
Hours later, ICE agents pepper sprayed a crowd in Rep. Omar’s Minneapolis district and detained a 20-year-old American citizen. The president falsely told speechgoers that prices are “coming down very substantially.” Meanwhile, Navy F/A-18s spent 30 minutes circling the Gulf of Venezuela in the closest approach yet, as U.S. boat attacks in the Caribbean have killed 87 people.
Voters keep rejecting Trump. In Miami, Democrat Eileen Higgins won with 59%, ending a 30-year Republican hold and handing Trump and DeSantis a loss in their own backyard. In Georgia, Eric Gisler flipped a state House seat by 200 votes in a district Republicans gerrymandered to lock Democrats out. The GOP now holds fewer than 100 seats in Georgia’s House for the first time since 2005.
Two races. Two harbingers. The chants, lies, and jets aren’t going unanswered. That’s why tonight, for the first time, we have two fighting back stories. Neither could be denied.
