What Happened Today – February 21, 2026

Two threats are tightening around Donald Trump at the same time.

Ghislaine Maxwell filed suit late Friday from prison to block 90,000 pages from a civil defamation case brought by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life last year. The pages include more than 30 depositions and financial and sexual information about Maxwell and others. Maxwell is already convicted and serving 20 years, and nothing in those files changes her sentence, which means someone is paying lawyers to keep you from reading what those people said under oath.

Six Supreme Court justices ruled Friday that Trump never had the authority to impose his signature tariffs. Within hours he launched a new 10% global tariff using a different law, then raised it to 15% today. That’s the legal maximum, and it expires in five months unless Congress acts. Americans pay these tariffs through higher prices. Coffee is up 20% in a year. Beef is through the roof. Your grocery bill knows exactly what his decisions cost.

Those 90,000 pages must terrify Trump and other American politicians. The UK arrested former Prince Andrew and held him for 11 hours. Norway charged its former prime minister with corruption and forced its ambassador to resign. American politicians haven’t gone near this rabbit hole. Call your representatives and demand every Epstein file be released. You can stay current at our special Epstein Sex Crimes pages.
