What Happened Today – January 8, 2026

The contempt is the point.

ICE agents killed Renee Good in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning. Video from multiple angles shows her vehicle was turning away from them. When a physician begged to check her pulse, an agent told him “I don’t care” and another told him to back up.

On Thursday, Trump called her a “professional agitator,” Vance called her a “deranged leftist,” Noem called her a “domestic terrorist,” and a DHS officer kicked over a candle at her memorial and told a protester “I don’t give a fuck.” That afternoon, Border Patrol officers shot two more people in Oregon, again claiming the driver “weaponized” their vehicle.

Pay attention this weekend. Document everything in your community if federal agents are active, but first know your rights.
