What Happened Today – November 16, 2025

Donald Trump didn’t suddenly decide that transparency is good.

He reversed himself on Sunday night and called for House Republicans to vote for the release of the Epstein Files because the vote was happening anyway. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), who filed the discharge petition, predicted that 100 Republicans would vote for it.

Those are choices you make when 56% of Americans disapprove of your job performance. Trump’s approval among independent voters is also cratering. Meanwhile, he’s directed the military on a killing spree of 21 attacks on boats in Latin America. Our military buildup there is at historic levels. Even if this is a distraction strategy, our military has killed 83 people in just two months.

The resistance to Trump is more pronounced than ever. Indiana Senate Republican Greg Goode was targeted in a swatting attack tonight after Trump named him as a redistricting opponent. When they swat you for voting your conscience, the only answer is more of us refusing to back down.

And there’s also, because of the mass immigration, a disease that had been — we’ve been rid of in North America made its way up through South America, you know, as these migrants brought some of their cattle with them. So part of the problem is we’ve had to shut the border to Mexican beef because of this disease called the screw worm. So we’re not going to let that get into our supply chain.
