What Happened Today – October 19, 2025

👑 Donald Trump’s reaction to seven million of us in the streets protesting his administration was to post an AI video of himself wearing a crown and dumping feces on the protesters.

Bullying, humiliating, and dehumanizing have been his MO since he announced his first campaign a decade ago and called Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals. He treats people as pawns. And if they don’t behave that way, he’ll make them.

We learned today that Trump and Rubio abandoned FBI gang informants to secure access to El Salvador’s torture prison. And he told the nation today that he could use the Insurrection Act to give himself “unquestioned power”, something dictators say, not presidents.

We need to stop this now. Showing the size of the movement against him was a great warning, but we have to follow up with local work this week. Contact the people and organizations who led your local rallies and begin working with them because there are more than enough of us to bring about change if we stay committed.

Today's Quote
Don’t forget, I can use the Insurrection Act. Fifty percent of the presidents almost have used that. And that’s unquestioned power, I choose not to, I’d rather do this. But I’m met constantly by fake politicians — politicians who think, it’s not like part of the radical-left movement to have safety. These cities have to be safe.
