The first GOP governor broke ranks with Trump today when OK’s Kevin Stitt said that his state’s residents would “lose their minds” if the Illinois Guard was deployed there. We also saw another Trump enemy indicted on a mortgage charge by his former personal attorney just as the vice president prepared to leave for Indiana to strong-arm the legislature there.
Republicans know they must control both chambers of Congress to continue ruling. That’s why they’re gerrymandering multiple states’ districts, including Texas, Missouri, and now Indiana. Except Indiana’s balking, so here comes their pressure.
Election Day is in one month. Get to your polling places and vote. The only way out of this is by taking control of the local level and working up the system while supporting those judges and elected officials who have the juice to tangle with the federal government.
