Donald Trump said three weeks ago there was “zero chance” he would replace Susie Wiles as his chief of staff.
He replaced her today with Stephen Miller, the deputy who pledged him “my absolute loyalty, my unwavering commitment, and my total devotion” tonight. Wiles, whom Trump called his “loyal and longest serving” chief of staff, goes to his political operation after a midterm loss that sources say he blamed on her.
When Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, said Miller should lawyer up, Attorney General Todd Blanche replied on X, “The Chief of Staff already has a lawyer. The Attorney General of the United States and the Department of Justice.”
