Attorney General Todd Blanche wants the judges who caught ICE breaking 96 court orders blocked from hearing any of its cases.
Today Blanche accused all but one of Minnesota’s federal judges of misconduct for talking to the New York Times about Operation Metro Surge.
In January, Judge Patrick Schiltz, a George W. Bush appointee, counted the violations across 74 cases and warned that “ICE is not a law unto itself.”
Blanche says the government deserves a fair and impartial judge, “just like every litigant in court.” Most litigants who ignore 96 court orders don’t get to pick a new judge.
